Foot-stomping/ alt-rock blues "Aint No Man With Money" drags you in and chucks you out, the powerful first single from Van Tastik deserves its story to be told, heard, shared.

Van Tastik, a one-man-band based in Utrecht and originating from Virginia will debut his first single “Ain't No Man With Money” on all music platforms September 30th.

The track is an upbeat foot-stomping alt-rock/blues-rock song that harks back to the likes of Seasick Steve, the early Black Keys, or the White Stripes' Icky Thump

Inspired by the difficulty of living as a post-graduate in a world of conformity and wrestling to find a space in the homogenized mass of modern society. The issues of minimum wage lifestyle and counting pennies until your next paycheck are no strangers to Van.

The story behind this song was unemployment after a bad accident which left the blues man's face scarred and left him in large amounts of debt to the system. Feeling alone and marginalized in a society where artists and uniqueness have a very transitory space to occupy.

This is Van's call to rally for things that matter. Getting together with friends, enjoying the things you CAN have, buying second-hand clothing or small label clothing to upcycle and support rather than give all your money away to big business.

Van puts it best: "You don't need money to make you happy no".
